Ingredients
1/2 cup butter
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
4 garlic cloves
2 cups whole milk
1 1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
Preparation
- Melt butter in a medium, non-stick saucepan over medium heat.
- Add chopped garlic and cook for two minutes.
- Add cream cheese and stir with wire whisk until smooth.
- Add milk, a little at a time, whisking to smooth out lumps.
- Stir in black pepper.
- Turn off the heat.
- Stir in Parmesan a little at a time whisking constantly until smooth.
- If the sauce is too thick, thin with milk.
- Toss with hot pasta to serve.
