Ingredients
1 can of tomato sauce (standard size)
1 can diced tomatoes (standard size)
1/4 Tbs dried oregano
1 clove garlic, finely mushed or whatever
1 Tsp salt, more or less
1 Tsp black Pepper, more or less
a good addition is a pre-mixed steak seasoning
1/2 cup onion, ground as fine as you like
about 2 tsp oil, olive gives a great flavor
Preparation
Place oil in a large pot and heat. Place onions and garlic in pan and sauté. After the onions and garlic are translucent, add other seasonings, and tomatoes, and simmer for at least an hour, very low heat, barely bubbling. (See Notes for hint)
