Ingredients
1 1/2 C. raw cranberries (whole)
1 1/2 C. flour
1/2 C. molasses
1/2 C. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. soda, dissolved in 1/2 C. hot water
1 egg
Sauce:
1 C. butter
1 C. heavy cream
1 C. sugar
1 C. powdered sugar
Preparation
Beat egg, sugar, salt and molasses. Add soda and water. Add flour and cranberries. Bake for 25 min. or more at 350 degrees. Bake in 9x 13 inch greased pan. Use a toothpick to test when done. Serve with the following sauce.
Sauce: In a sauce pan melt butter, add cream and sugars. Mix, bring to a boil, and refrigerate
