Ingredients

1 T olive oil

6 c. chopped onion (3 medium)

1 T sugar

1/2 c. dry red wine

1 T EVOO

2 t. dried oregano

1 t salt

1/2 t. dried thyme

1/2 t. dried marjoram

1/2 t. dried basil

1/2 t. ground pepper

6 cloves crushed garlin

2, 28 oz. cans crushed tomatoes

2, 14.5 oz cans diced tomatoes

2, 6 oz. cans tomato paste

Preparation

  1. Heat oil in pot, brown onion and sugar over low, 30 min. until golden.
  2. Add wine, cook 1 min.
  3. Add all other ingredients, boil.
  4. Reduce heat, simmer 3 hours.
