Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/8 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped peanut butter cups (about four packages)
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter, peanut butter and sugars until light and fluffy, about 4 minutes. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
- Combine the flour, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well.
- Stir in chocolate chips and peanut butter cups.
- Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool for 2 minutes before removing to wire racks.
