Ingredients
4 or 5 cucumbers, sliced 1/8" thick
1 sweet onion, sliced
Brine:
3 C. white sugar
1/4 C. salt
1 tsp. mustard seed
1 tsp. celery seed
3 C. white vinegar
Preparation
Bring white vinegar to a boil. Add sugar, salt, celery and mustard seeds. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat. In a large jar, add cucumbers and onions. Pour vinegar mixture over top and stir. Cover jar and refrigerate for 4 days before eating.
