Ingredients

8 pcs chicken, legs and thigh pieces are ideal

3-4 potatoes, quartered

1 onion, blended

1 tsp pas phuron

1 tsp ginger paste

1 tsp garlic paste

1 tsp haldi

2 tsp meat masala

1/2 tsp chilli powder

1 tsp salt (level tsp)

1 tsp pepper

1 1/2 cups water

approx 100gms tomato puree (half a packet)

Preparation

  1. Heat cooker; add pas phuron, onion paste, ginger/garlic paste

  2. Add haldi, meat masala, chilli powder

  3. Add chicken pieces; stir to roughly coat all pieces with pastes and spices

  4. Add potatoes, salt/pepper, tomato puree

  5. Add water just before closing cooker lid

  6. After the first whistle, cook for 7 mins (or approx 25 mins without whistle, from the time u put the lid on)

  7. Let it stand for 10 minutes after switching off stove
