Ingredients
sunflower oil - 5ml/1tsp
ground turmeric - 2.5ml/ 1/2tsp
cardamom seeds,lightly crushed - 6
coriander seeds lightly crushed - 1tsp
garlic cloves,crushed - 1
basmati rice - 200gms/1cup
stock - 400ml
natural yogurt - 15ml/ 1/2cup
toasted sunflower seeds - 15ml/1tbsp
toasted sesame seeds - 15ml/1tbsp
salt and black pepper coriander to garnish
Preparation
1.Heat oil in a non-stick pan and fry the spices and garlic for 1minute,stirring all the time 2.Add the rice and turmeric stock,bring to boil then cover and simmer for 15minutes or until just tender 3.Stir in yogurt and add the toasted seeds.Adjust the seasoning and serve hot,garnished with coriander leaves
