Ingredients

1 lb. vanilla wafers

3 tbsp cocoa

1 tbsp white corn syrup

1 1/2 cups pecans or walnuts, finely chopped

1/2 cup dark rum

powdered sugar or cocoa

Preparation

Crush the vanilla wafers into fine crumbs and combine with cocoa and chopped nuts. Blend corn syrup and rum and pour over crumb mixture. Combine with your hands until the mixture holds together. Then shape into 1" balls. Roll in powdered sugar or cocoa and store in an air-tight container for one to three weeks so that the shapes have time to “ripen”.
