Ingredients

1 c. butter

1/2 c. powdered sugar

2 1/4 c. flour

1/4 tsp. salt

1 tsp. vanilla

3/4 c. finely chopped walnuts

powdered sugar for coating

Preparation

Cream together butter and sugar. Add vanilla extract. Sift together salt and flour and add to creamed mixture. Work in walnuts. Chill for 1 hour. Preheat oven to 375. Roll dough into 1 inch diameter balls and place on cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven and let the cookies cool slightly, then roll in powdered sugar while still warm. Let the cookies cool completely then roll in powdered sugar again.
