Ingredients

1 8 ounce skinless salmon filet

1/2 cup minced fresh chives

1/4 cup sour cream

1 tbls minced shallots

1 tbls chopped drained capers

1 tsp grated lemon peel

1/2 tsp chopped drained green peppercorns in brine

16 1/2" thick baguette slices

Preparation

Steam salmon over boiling water water just until opaque in center, about 8 minutes. Transfer to medium bowl, cool. Flake salmon.

Mix chives and five next ingredients in large bowl to blend. Mix in salmon. Season with salt and pepper.

Preheat oven to 400. Arrange baguette slices on baking sheet. Brush with oil. Bake until golden, about 12 minutes. Cool. Serve with salmon mixture.
